Rebecca June Bowser Osborne, 77 of River Road, WV passed away Friday June 24, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born October 24, 1933 in Crellin, MD daughter to the late Cecil S. and Jamain G. Gooding Bowser. June worked as a beautician for many years and also at the Booth Supply Grocery. She was a hand quilter for 30 years and operated a quilting machine for 13 years. She loved painting, reading and writing poetry and loved a good game of poker. She also had hundreds of volunteer hours. June was a member of the Westover VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion. She was Methodist by faith. June is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years Charles Osborne, Sr.; two sons Charles L. Lenny' Osborne, Jr., and wife Beverly of Bruceton Mills, and Steve L. Osborne and wife Laura of Hildebrand; seven grandsons, James, Jeremy and wife Erin, Peter and wife Lisa, Kevin and wife Casey, Casey and Cassie, Benjaman and Zackary and wife Amy; one great granddaughter, Leigh; six great grandsons, Raven, Connor, Wyatt, Seth, Gavin, and Kyle; sisters Vonda Shepherd, Betty Day and Patty Boggs; brothers Bill and Jimbo Bowser and lots of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Bobby and sister Dottie Brownfield. Friends may call Monday June 27, 2011 at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9pm and again on Tuesday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor William Page officiating. Burial will follow at the Arnettsville Cemetery.
