Ray Lynch, 84 of the Kingwood Pike, Morgantown passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Monongalia General Hospital. He was born August 18, 1929 in Stumptown,WV, the son of the late Luther and Gertrude Duley Lynch. Ray worked for the Cowan Baking Company as well as Sterling Faucet Company and retired as a coal miner from the Graystone Coal Company Ray was an avid fisherman and hunter. He took great pleasure raising a wonderful garden each year and sharing his bounty with his family and friends. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Thelma Shoemaker Lynch, a son Raymond (Bud) Lynch and spouse Penny of Fairmont, WV, One sister Georgia (Tiny) Marks of Granville, Three grandchildren Michael Lynch and spouse Kimberly of Morgantown, Karen Strahin and spouse Michael of Tunnelton, WV and Katie Lynch and fiancé Joey LaMottie of Fairmont, WV, a daughter in law Janet Jenkins of Morgantown and ten grandchildren and one great great grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Kenneth (Spike) Lynch, four brothers, Ted Lynch, Wade Lynch, Landis Lynch and Frank Smith and three sisters Betty Jean Winters, Jean Liston and Bessie Pyles. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 3-7pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Sunday at the funeral home with Rev.
