Ralph Raymond Conrad

Ralph Raymond Conrad, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Friday February 27, 2015 at his home. He was born July 7, 1930 in Mingo County, WV a son of the late Richard Conrad of Huttonsville, WV and Josephine Jones Conrad of Elkins, WV. Ralph graduated from Tygart Valley High School in 1948. He served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Navy from 1948-1953. Ralph worked various jobs including working for NASA and later retired as a hearing aid specialist. He was a member of Morgantown Bible Church in Morgantown. Ralph is survived by his wife Diana Day-Conrad of Morgantown; three daughters Mary Beth Papandreas (George) of Morgantown, Cheryl Abel (Harold) of Venetia, PA, Kyra Pulliam (Andre) of Stephens City, VA; three step-children Melodee Wolford (Doug) of Elkins, WV, Tammie Rizzio (Bryan) of Beverly, WV, James Murphy (Amy) of Elkins, WV; three brothers Randall Conrad (Marti) of Charles Town, WV, Earl Conrad (Mary) of Chattanooga, TN, Erwin Conrad (Ruth) of Oak Hill, WV; two sisters Doris Bartlett (Walter) of Elkins, WV, Iris Conrad of Sevierville, TN; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife Margie Betler Conrad; wife Marilyn Blizzard Conrad; daughter Susan Conrad; three brothers Herman Conrad, Sherman Conrad; Vernon Conrad; and a great granddaughter Maddison Hedrick. In honoring Ralph's wishes, cremation services are being provided by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 8, 2015 at 1pm at Morgantown Bible Church 1407 Brookhaven Road Morgantown, WV 26508 with Pastor James Cooley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph's memory to Brookhaven Lions Club 1186 East 2nd St. Morgantown, WV 26508 to help with hearing aids for those in need.
