Phyllis Jean Gray, 78, of Morgantown passed away Sunday September 15, 2013 at her home with family by her side. She was born October 4, 1934 in Morgantown, daughter of the late James Spencer and Ruby Marie Donaldson Gray. Phyllis worked for Morgan Shirt Company over 44 years doing various jobs there. She attended Living by Faith Church, where she loved to sing in the choir and the church's Hillbilly Band. Phyllis is survived by a sister and best friend, Vivian Ruth McNemar; son who she loved deeply, Michael Anthony Gray and wife Lisa; her precious grandson Andrew James Gray, who she thought the world of; special family friends, who meant the world to her, Scott Gibson and Joe V. Moore of Morgantown and Pam M. Shafer of Bruceton Mills; numerous nieces and nephews and her pets Chester, Catalina and Bo. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Eleanor Honey' Davis; brother James P. Gray; her brother-in-law James F. Bud' McNemar and her canine companion JoJo. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday September 17, 2013 from 3-5 & 7-9pm and again on Wednesday Sept. 18 from 10am until time of services at 11am with Rev. David Tomer officiating. Burial will follow at the Donaldson Cemetery. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Todd Tallman and Dr. Darryl Saunders for the care and kindness shown to Phyllis.
