Peter James Semler

Peter J. Semler, 54 passed away peacefully at his home on Junior Ave. in Morgantown on Tuesday March 13, 2010 after a long illness. Pete was born September 20, 1954 in Morgantown. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School. He was an owner of Semler’s News Agency and Semler’s News Stand formerly of High and Pleasant Streets. Over the last few years he has enjoyed spending his winters in Fort Myers, FL. Pete was an avid WVU fan and enjoyed talking sports with his customers. He is survived by his brothers Michael W. Semler and wife Judy and William A. Semler and wife Brenda all of Morgantown; and his two nephews Chad and Anthony Semler of Morgantown. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Clem and Virginia Semler of Morgantown. Cremation services were arranged by the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Friday April 16, 2010 from 6pm-9pm. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
