Pauline W. Staley, 87, of Morgantown, Booth Community, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her home. She was born June 4, 1928 in Aurora, WV, daughter of the late Broze and Mary Bowser Starkey. Pauline was a homemaker for many years and was Protestant by faith.

Pauline loved to read and crochet. She also loved flowers of all varieties. She had many more interests and hobbies but above all things, time spent with her family and grandchildren meant more than anything to her. Family was everything and Miss Pauline’s door was always open to family, friends and neighbors alike. Miss Pauline was well known for her Sunday dinners. Family would gather around the table to share great food, laughs and wonderful memories.

Her tenacity, wonderful sense of humor and generous attitude will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children; daughter, Mary Guthrie and husband Stanley; son, Allen R. Maine and wife Edna McCabe Maine all of Morgantown; son Robert ‘Bobby’ E. Staley and wife Debra Harley Staley of Idamay, WV and daughter, Regina ‘Gina’ Spencer and husband Drew of Fairmont, WV; grandchildren, Robyn McDaniel, Marcie Morton, Michael Guthrie, Thomas Guthrie, Randy Stickely, Staley Spencer and Ali Staley; great grandchildren, Nathan McDaniel, Alanna McDaniel, Eric Guthrie, Matthew Guthrie, Samantha Guthrie, Cheyanne Guthrie, Landon Freeman, Brody Anderson, Easton Anderson and four great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Mary Emily Phillips of Morgantown and one nephew, David Malinovich of Morgantown.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Staley, Jr. and infant brother Steven Harley ‘Buddy’ Starkey.

Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm and again on Saturday from 11am until time of services at noon with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
