Paul Pechinko, 92, of Morgantown passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born January 8, 1921 in Clairton, PA son to the late Michael Pechinko, Sr., and Ludwika Podshonyko Pechinko. Paul retired from CONSOL's Pursglove No. 15 mine with more than 40 years of service. Paul was also a US Army veteran of WWII and a lifetime member of the VFW. He is survived by his three children; sons, Paul W. Pechinko of Madison, OH and Eugene W. Pechinko of Morgantown; daughter Deborah Blanchard and husband William Willie' of Morgantown; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Blair Virginia Pechinko and two brothers Nick and Mike Pechinko. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday June 24, 2013 from 11am until time of services at 1pm with Pastor Fred Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by the Westover VFW Post 9916 and WVANG, Camp Dawson.
