Paul Edward Lawson

Paul Edward ‘Eddie’ Lawson, 77, of Rivesville, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his home. He was born February 28, 1944, in Morgantown a son of the late Marion Paul Lawson and Julia Mundell Hunt. Paul served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He worked many years as a mechanic at the South High Exxon and even enjoyed working on cars at home. In his spare time he liked being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. Most of all he cherished spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Marian Lawson; sons Tracy Lawson of Ohio, Paul Lawson, Jr. and wife Heather of Pt. Marion, PA, Ralph Lawson and wife Michele, David Lawson and wife Athena ‘Sunshine’ and Alvin Lawson all of Morgantown; his faithful canine companion Toby, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by a sister Kathy Sanders. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm. Eddie will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with funeral expenses by visiting Eddie’s obituary page.
