Patty 'Jane' Kisner

Patty "Jane" Kisner (nee Gillespie), 80, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, passed away after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by her family Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her home. She was born June 15, 1938 in Morgantown, West Virginia and was a 1956 graduate of Morgantown High School.

She was a long-time resident of North Ridgeville, where she founded the Christian Soldier Apostolic Church in 1987 and taught at the Christian Soldier Academy until 2005. Jane loved the arts, she was a photographer, an artist and a musician, playing the organ, piano and accordion. She also enjoyed baking with her children. Jane was a member of the PAJC and the Apostolic Holiness Fellowship of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by six children, Theron Kisner, Jr., Janet Smith (Stephen), Ronnie Kisner, Sr. (Michelle), Lori Scandlan (David), Kim Kisner (Kristi) and Jason Kisner (Alanna); nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five brothers and by two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Theron Kisner; her son, Michael Kisner (Diane); her parents, Kermit and Olive Ann (nee Brewer) Gillespie; one brother and by three sisters.

The family welcomes friends to join them Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville and Friday, May 10, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, 10 South High St., Morgantown, West Virginia 26501.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Apostolic Christian Temple (AHFJC), 464 Viola Rd, Fairmont, West Virginia. Her brother, The Reverend Leonard Chris Gillespie, will officiate. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown.
