Patricia Tennant

Patricia Rae Tennant, age 94, of Mesa, AZ, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 29, 2025, in Tempe, AZ. She was born on October 10, 1931, in Fairmont, W. Va., to Clinton “Sparky” and M. Madeline Vincent. Patricia was a graduate of University High School, class of 1949, in Morgantown, W. Va. She moved to California in 1967 and worked for many years at Dooley’s hardware department store in Long Beach as a Buyer. She moved to Arizona in 2001 to be closer to her son, Larry, and his family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Marie Loring; first husband, John Walter Drake; second husband, William Scott Tennant; and her sons, John (Butch) Walter Drake, Jr., and Larry Ray Drake.

Surviving are her two granddaughters, Jennifer (David) Lipinski and Shannon (Ben) Drake; her daughter-in-law, Gladys Drake; her two great-granddaughters, Lauren and Danielle Lipinski; and many nieces and nephews. 

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home in Morgantown, W. Va., on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 2 pm – 6 pm. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens beginning at 10:30 am.
