Nora Lee Beers

Nora Lee Beers, passed away peacefully at Mon Health Medical Center on January 4, 2024, at the age of 84, surrounded by the love of her family. Nora, born on September 4, 1939, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Tracy and Ermal McCord.

Family was the cornerstone of Nora's life, and she is fondly remembered by her loving son, Richard Beers; her adoring grandchildren, Zachary Stewart, Matthew 'Monk' Tayler, Wyatt Tayler, and Brooklyn Mullins, who held a special place in her heart. Her dedication and love are also carried on by her devoted niece and caregiver, Christine Williams, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was a beacon of light on family weekends at her son's house, where she would relish time spent at his pavilion, enveloped by nature, laughter, and shared stories. Her hands, skilled in the arts of crocheting and quilting, created not just beautiful works, but also a tapestry of warmth and care that enveloped all who were fortunate to know her.

Nora now joins her beloved brothers who preceded her in death Luther 'Jack' McCord, Elbert McCord, Homer McCord, Richard 'Rich' McCord, and Tracy McCord, Jr., as well as her sisters Kathleen Reckart, Loretta Keener, Erma 'Bonnie' Brake, and Linda McCord in eternal rest.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 11 am until the time of funeral service at 1pm with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Following the service, Nora’s wishes for cremation will be honored.
