Nancy Carol Masters

Nancy Carol Masters, 80, of Morgantown, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 with her family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John “Red” Masters; her parents, Charles & Evelyn Davis; brother Charles Davis; sister Lois (Hayward Jr.) McCauley; and daughter, Joanne Nicholson.

Nancy is survived by her sons, John Jr. (Robin) Masters, Ron (Lois) Masters, and Donnie (Terri) Masters; 11 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews, and her faithful dog Charlie.

Nancy loved to get out and about as often as she was able, whether it be to Cool Springs Park where she loved to relax and enjoy nature, or just out to Wal-Mart for her weekly shopping. She could also often be found perusing local flea markets, attending church on Sundays, cheering at the racetrack while supporting her kids and grandkids, or just sitting on the porch at home. It was said that Nancy never knew a stranger, and became instant friends with everyone she met. Nancy savored all the little moments of her life, but she loved nothing more than taking care of her family; she was never satisfied until all their needs were met, and she always put others first. Everyone who knew her will always remember the loving care she selflessly gave, and will always hold dear the light she shared in their lives.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 4 PM to 8 PM and again on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. Nancy will then be laid to rest beside her husband at Halleck Cemetery.
