Milfred Gary Simmons

Milfred Gary Simmons, 64 of Granville passed away Thursday April 28, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Gary was born April 10, 1947 in Morgantown son of the late Milfred A. Simmons and Rheda Ayersman Rishel. Gary was a veteran of the United States Marines. He most recently worked for University Chevrolet. Gary is survived by his wife Mary Cathryn Cathy' Simmons; children Delores Harmon and husband Charles J.; M. Gary Simmons, Jr., and fiancée Jennifer Britvec; Grant, Heather, Andrea and Emily Simmons all of Morgantown. Also surviving is his brother Kenneth Eugene Simmons; grandchildren, Anna and Tristin Harmon and Garrett and Hailey Simmons all of Morgantown and nephew Kenneth E. Simmons, Jr. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday May 1, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be 11am Monday May 2, 2011 at the Fred L. Jenkins Chapel of Prayer with Pastor Dolly Smith and Rev. Charles Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at the WV National Cemetery, Pruntytown, WV with Military Rites conducted by the WVANG Camp Dawson, Grafton Color Guard Unit, VFW Post 3081, American Legion Post 12 and DAV Chapter 24.
