Michael D. Savage

Michael D. Savage, age 71, passed away on July 10, 2025, in his hometown of Morgantown, WV, where he was also born on January 30, 1954.

He worked for many years as a payroll accountant at CONSOL, where he was respected for being precise, dependable, and honest. His coworkers valued his dedication and attention to detail.

Outside of work, Michael loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping when he was younger and later developed a passion for racing 4-Wheelers. He especially loved taking part in GNCC races with his brother Fred, and the two shared many fun road trips and adventures together.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Jr. and Catherine Savage, and his brother Fred. He is survived by his nephew BJ Belt, BJ’s wife Tracy, and their sons, Bobby and Dylan.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 12pm until the time of the funeral service at 2pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Michael will be laid to rest at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
