Michael B. Reckart

Michael B. "Mike" Reckart of Fairmont, formerly of Morgantown, passed away on Monday April 16, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 21, 1953 in Morgantown a son of Mary Reckart of Morgantown and the late Harry Reckart. Mike served his country as a member of the U. S. Army. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1984 achieving the rank of Sergeant as a military policeman. He worked most of his life as a construction plasterer for various companies. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing. In addition to his mother he is survived by his caregiver and ex-wife Patty Reckart of Fairmont; his daughters by marriage Christina Flowers and Melissa Lewis; grandchildren Dustin Donley, Tylor Donley, Montana Straight, Heather Lewis; great grandchildren Braxton Taylor and Nevaeh Taylor; sister Patsy Norris; and brother Steve Reckart. Honoring Mike's wishes there will be no public services and cremation was arranged by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.In lieu if flowers the family requests that donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
