Michael Edwin Joseph Loper, 40 of the Kingwood Pike, Morgantown went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Mike was a graduate from WVU Class of 1997 and went to get his masters from Phoenix University in 2010.He was employed by Chestnut Ridge Hospital for 14 years and worked in the ED at Ruby Memorial Hospital for almost a year. He was born in Trenton, NJ on November 26, 1972 the son of Jim and Nancy Loper and raised in Greenbrook NJ until he made his home in Morgantown, WV . In addition to his parents, Jim and Nancy, he is survived by his wife of 15 years Kami Loper, 2 sons Michael (15) and Alexander (12), Brothers James and wife Mary Beth, Matthew and wife Elizabeth, sisters Mary and husband Sam Leedy and Katherine and husband Brian McDonald, his aunts Clair McCloskey and special friend Agnes, Janet Walker, Mary and Bob DaLonzo , his uncles Eddie and Terri McCloskey and Michael McCloskey. Also surviving are 15 nieces and nephews, 8 cousins and many other special friend and family members. Mike was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his boys, watching WV Mountaineers, NY Giants, the NY Mets, fishing, playing guitar and other outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Paul and Catherine Loper, Maternal grandparents Edwin and Madeline McCloskey and in laws Delmas Allen Dalton and Karen Sue Horn Dalton. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 4-8pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until the time of services at 11am with Fr. John Peck O.S.B. officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
