Matthew Higginbotham

Matthew Higginbotham, of Mason Dixon Hwy, Core, WV went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2018. He was born June 29, 1973, son of Rev. Benny and Mary Ann Higginbotham. He was with Love Lee his constant companion, caregiver and fiancée, his loving family, friends and angels.

He loved spending time with his family and helping at church when he was able.

Matthew is survived by his one son, Bradley Cottrell, whom he loved very much, one granddaughter Kathleen and future daughter-in-law Kara Cortez. Also surviving is one brother, Benny Higginbotham, Jr., sisters, Cloressa Beatty and Verronica Higginbotham; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and maternal grandmother Juanita Kemp.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Benny Higginbotham, Sr.; brother, Brett Oneal Higginbotham, maternal grandfather, Willard Lee Ross and paternal grandparents Sherman and Thelma Higginbotham.

Family will receive friends at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8pm and again on Sunday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Ray Fluharty officiating. Matthew will be laid to rest at Olive Cemetery, Pentress, WV.
