Mary Elizabeth Vankirk

Mary Elizabeth Vankirk, 92, of Morgantown, loving Wife, Mother, Grand-mother, and Great-grandmother went home to be with her Savior, Friday, August 7, 2020. Born May 17, 1928, in Monongalia County to Jesse and Mary Elizabeth Johnson. She was the youngest of six children all who have preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dennis L Vankirk, Sr. Together they were the owners of Vankirk Appliance Service.

She is survived by her three children Dennis L Vankirk, Jr. and wife Linda, Roger Vankirk and wife Marilyn, James Vankirk and wife Wendy, four grandchildren Stacey Murray and husband David of Durham NC, Bryan Vankirk and wife Renee of Bridgeport WV, Andrea Warnick and husband Chad of Morgantown, and Jamie Vankirk of Morgantown and seven great-grandchildren Matthew Murray, Kamryn, Kendal, Kai, and Kade Vankirk, and Connor and Madisyn Warnick.

She was saved at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Morgantown, WV under the ministry of Pastor Barry Darnell. Mary and Dennis later became members of Faith Baptist Church, Morgantown.

To help mitigate risk during this time, the family has chosen to hold all services privately. Mary will be laid to rest at the East Oak Grove Cemetery. Please consider leaving a message for the family on Mary's guestbook.
