Mary Frances Penny' Thompson, 64 of Morgantown, passed away at her home on Sunday March 4, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born April 17, 1947 in Morgantown daughter to the late George J. and Mary Musick Duffer. Penny graduated from St. Francis High School class of '65 and then attended the Morgantown Business College where she earned her Associates Degree in Business. She retired from WVU Foreign Language Department with more than 30 years of service. Penny enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling with her family. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. She was Catholic by faith. Penny is survived by her husband Daniel Danny' Pawlak, Sr., her former husband and father of her children, Ed Thompson of San Diego, CA; daughter Maria Ceglie and husband Matthew of San Diego, CA; two sons Eddie Thompson and wife Debra of Sandy, UT and Jason Thompson of San Diego, CA; grandchildren Lauren, Kristin and Jonathan Thompson all of Sandy, UT, Payton and Presley Ceglie and Brenden Thompson all of San Diego, CA. Also surviving is one brother George Duffer and wife Cathy of Morgantown. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday March 6, 2012 from 11am until time of services at 1pm with Rev. Father John V. DiBacco, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the East Oak Grove Cemetery.
