Mary Sue Thomas

Mary Sue Thomas, 77, of Morgantown passed away peacefully on Friday May 6, 2016 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born August 15, 1938 in Morgantown, WV the daughter of the late Mike Thomas and Mary Raskell Thomas.

She was a former parishioner of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. Mary worked as a packaging specialist at Mylan Pharmaceuticals for 26 years. Prior to her employment at Mylan, she worked at Thorofare Market and Sterling Faucet for many years. She was known as a hard worker and loved everyone she worked with. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Mary had a kind heart and was giving to everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her beloved son Mark Thomas and wife Kristen of Parkville, MD; sister Ruby Thomas of Morgantown; grandsons Chase Anthony Thomas and Bryce Alexander Thomas both of Parkville, MD; nieces Noretta Walls, Debbie Thomas, Lisa Thomas, Christine Beatty, Erika Thomas; and an aunt Libby Feathers and husband Foster.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Thomas; sister Josephine Elizabeth Hilderbrand; niece Susie Thomas; and her aunts and uncles Josephine Murphy, Margaret Raskell, Joe Raskell, Rosie Raskell, Tony Raskell and Jimmy Raskell.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday May 10, 2016 from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 10am. Honoring Mary’s wishes cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary’s memory to The Foundation of Mon General Hospital 1200 JD Anderson Dr. Morgantown, WV 26505.
