Mary Stafford

Mary Margaret ‘Peggy’ Stafford, 59, of Morgantown, passed away on Friday December 16, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born April 3, 1957 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Franklin Carey, Sr. and Lawana Jolliffe Carey.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, most of all she cherished every moment with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Victor Stafford; daughters Crystal Christopher and husband Jason, Tina Lowrance and husband Daniel all of Morgantown; brothers Franklin Carey, Jr., James Carey and wife Emmy, Steven Carey, Richard Carey and wife Sue, David Carey; sisters Ruth Ann Ayers and husband Robert, Lisa Grim and husband John ‘Banjo’; grandchildren Emily Christopher, James Christopher, Ethan Lowrance; and a special cousin Ralph Carey, Jr. who was like a son; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday December 20, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and again on Wednesday from 11am until the time of funeral services at 12pm with Pastor Gwen McKinley officiating. Burial will follow at Summers Cemetery.
