Mary Lou Posey

Mary Lou Posey, 75, of Canyon Village, Morgantown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 4, 2021, at the Mon Health Medical Center.

Mary Lou worked at Vincent Palotti and Mon General Hospital for 45 years until she retired in 2011. After her retirement she did elderly care, volunteered, and was a member of HOPE Church.

She is survived by her two wonderful sons who meant the world to her, Preston Posey and Gary Posey, and wife Tonya. She is also survived by her longtime partner Jim Wilkins; grandchildren, Cassandra Posey, Rachel Pretzel, Sierra Posey, Colton Yeager, Brandy, and Emily Cathell and great-grandchildren Paul ‘Bubby’, Brianna, Noah, Orville, Luke, Becca, Maggie, and Ella; sisters Joann Bean, Judy Wise, Peggy Adams and husband Fred; many nephews, cousins, uncles and her dog Susie who she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Josephine Duley, one daughter Kimberly Lynn Posey; granddaughter Kimberly Marie Posey; two brothers Jerry and Eugene Duley, sisters, Betty Duley, Barbara Toothman, Nancy Gallagher and her husband Tom; brothers-in-law Chester Bean and Dave Toothman and sister-in-law Barbara Duley.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home from 4 PM until 8 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM with Pastors Allen and Joseph Donham officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Hills Cemetery.
