Mary Louretta Merrill

Mary Louretta Merrill, 87, of Morgantown, died Thursday, March 26, 2020, at her home following a long illness. She was born in Pleasant Valley, WV on January 25, 1933, a daughter to Lloyd Newton Merrill and Mildred Wade Merrill.

Mary was a 1950 graduate of Morgantown High School. She worked as an operator for C&P Telephone for nearly 42 years. She also enjoyed flea markets and garage sales.

Mary is survived by her son Charles Edward Merrill, Sr. and wife Rebecca, grandchildren, Stephanie Merrill and Charles Merrill, Jr. and her brother John Merrill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Merrill Wade.

Many years ago, Mary planned her own private services to remain simple and elegant. She was laid to rest at the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Fred Jenkins Funeral Home was honored to care for Mary and fulfill her final wishes.
