Mary "Meg" Daniels

October 1, 1938 — October 9, 2016

Mary Helen "Meg" Daniels passed away in her home on October 9, 2016, surrounded by her family. Meg leaves behind her two children, Rick Landenberger and Rebecca Landenberger-Lynch, her grandson Reese Landenberger, and her daughter-in-law Nektaria Adaktilou-Landenberger,son-in-law Brian Lynch, along with a sister Ernestine Vaccaro of Millis MA and brother William Davis of Chinchilla, PA. Born October 1, 1938 in Chinchilla, Meg graduated from Abington Heights High School in 1956. She graduated from Drew University in 1961 and applied her knowledge of psychology and sociology to her work at the New York State Department of Social Services where she helped those less fortunate. After retiring in 2003, she split her time between Morgantown and Myrtle Beach, SC, where she attended the First Presbyterian Church, sat on the Ocean Dunes Home Owners Association Board of Directors, and volunteered at the local food pantries. Meg had many friends in both of her homes. She enjoyed sewing, collecting and creating wooden stamp art, volunteering in support of the less fortunate, and spending time with her family. Her home was always filled with the smells of home cooking and potpourri fragrances and she enjoyed nothing more than baking, cooking, and taking her grandson shopping. Meg's family is honoring her wishes to be cremated, thus there will be no service. She only asks that friends and family hold her in their memories and cherish the good times that they shared. Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home assisted the family in honoring Meg's wishes.
