Mary Alice Mcdilda

Mary Alice McDilda, 76 of Pursglove, WV passed away Thursday July 19, 2012 at the Monongalia General Hospital. Mary was born November 2, 1935 in Morgantown daughter to the late Charles R. Himes, Sr. and Hazel Belle Hollick. She married the love of her life, Glennis McDilda, on May 16, 1954 and just recently celebrated their 58 th wedding anniversary. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always willing to put others first. She enjoyed quilting, flowers, bird watching, especially watching the birth of eagles and hummingbirds online. In addition to her husband of 58 years, she is survived by her son David Glenn McDilda and wife Lori of Pursglove, WV; her daughter Donna Kay Stewart and husband Robert Bob' of Martinsburg, WV; one grandson David Glenn McDilda, Jr., and fiancée Stacey Hoover of Morgantown; one granddaughter Melissa Jo McDilda of Pursglove, WV; one step-grandson Bill Stewart and wife Adrienne of Martinsburg, WV; one brother, Charles R. Himes, Jr., and wife Louise of Espyville, PA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William R. and Freda McDilda, Theirtha McDilda, Jack and Shirley Forbes and Steve and Sandra Casteel, all of Morgantown, Minnie McDilda of Elkton, MD and several nieces and nephews. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by George and Leila McDilda, George H. McDilda, Jr., and wife Geraldine, Gerald E. McDilda, Sr., Kenneth McDilda and Howard McDilda and wife Patricia. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday July 22, 2012 from 5-8pm and again on Monday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Rev. Loretta Lee officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hills Cemetery.
