Mary Virginia Leach

Mary Virginia (Saturday) Leach, 80, of Osage, passed away Saturday April 8, 2017 at her home. She was born January 5, 1937 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Saturday.

Mary Virginia was a faithful member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church and a member of the church choir. She was also known for her magnificent cookbook collection.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years Kenneth Leach; daughters Alice Leach Gaston and husband Stephen of DE, Gloria Leach Groover of VA; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mary Virginia is also survived by her brother Michael Saturday and wife Ruth of Suncrest; sisters Pauline Lipko of New Jersey and Rose Hamrick of Delaware, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Leach Brooks; brother Joseph Saturday; sisters Ann Komenus and Agnes Barto.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday April 11, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Visitation will continue Wednesday at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church from 9am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10am with Rev. Fr. John V. DiBacco as celebrant. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Virginia’s memory to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church 3334B University Avenue Morgantown, WV 26505.
