Mary Ruth Barnett Grosselin

Mary Ruth Barnett Grosselin, 82, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, September 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 19, 1944, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Basil and Sylvia Edgell Williams.

Mary worked as a clinical associate at West Virginia University until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, and, in her younger years, baking. Above all, Mary cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her much joy throughout her life.

She is survived by her son, Frank Barnett, II, and his wife, Suzanne; daughters, Judy Deculit, Avie "Sissy" Riley and her husband, Dave, Robin Kazarian and her husband, Jack, Melissa Barnett, Julie Barnett, and Marjorie McCurdy and her husband, Troy; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and her faithful canine companion, Buddy.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Barnett; daughter, Mary Barnett; brother, Butch Williams; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Ronald Hoskinson officiating. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest at Pisgah Cemetery, Smithtown Road, Morgantown, WV.
