Mary Ann Dunn, 89, of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. She was born on September 20, 1936, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Rose Savage.
Mary devoted many years to serving others, first as a custodian with Preston County Schools and later as a cook for The Salvation Army, where she retired after years of dedicated service.
She attended Tyrone United Methodist Church and, more recently, The Apostolic Lighthouse. Mary was a dedicated volunteer with The Salvation Army Home League and the Rosenbaum House. In her free time, she enjoyed being outdoors, whether mowing her yard or tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Above all, Mary treasured time spent with her family. She found great joy in preparing meals for those she loved and especially cherished every moment with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her three sons, Johnny Bishoff and wife Debbie, Jimmy Bishoff and wife Janet, and Ray Miller and wife Marilyn; two daughters, Connie Forman and Kim Cottrell and husband Rick; stepson, Bobby Nelson Dunn, Jr. and wife Barbara; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her faithful canine companion, Bear.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Nelson Dunn, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Francee Bishoff; son-in-law, Wayne Forman; granddaughter, Bethany Marie Bishoff; two brothers Sonny and Jim; and four sisters Toots, John, Helen, and Margaret. Mary was the last living sibling of the Savage family.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon, with Pastor Gary Blosser officiating. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest at Dunn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary's memory may be made to The Apostolic Lighthouse, 519 Nicholson Loop, Morgantown, WV 26508.
