Mary Jane Crider

Mary Jane Crider, 79, of Core, passed away Friday October 19, 2012 at her home. She was born September 23, 1933 in New Hill, WV daughter to the late Walter and Bessie Cupp. Mary worked at WVU Hospital for more than 20 years. She started first in the housekeeping department and then took training to become a nurse's aide. Lastly, she worked as a desk clerk until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and working outside. She loved to bake and found great joy in sharing her baked goods with friends and neighbors. She will be remembered as a kind and compassionate person. She is survived by two sons, Darrel E. Crider and Michael A. Crider; two daughters Joanne Watson and Charlene Cress; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Henry Crider; son James Earl Crider and daughter Kathleen Virginia Crider. Cremation services have been arranged by the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held by the family at a later date.
