Mary Grace Brewer

Mary Grace Brewer, 81, of Independence, WV passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Mon Health Medical Center. She was born May 12, 1939, in Morgantown the daughter of Orval and Pauline England Hunt. Mary Grace worked tirelessly to keep a home for her husband and five children. She delighted in having family near and was always a gracious host. Mary Grace is survived by three daughters: Mary Schiffbauer and her husband, Tim, Patsy Fortney, and Joy Gilleland and her husband, Tim; two sons, John Brewer, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, and Jack Brewer and his wife, Karen; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and her precious Maltese pup, Porsche. Also, surviving are two brothers, David Hunt of Raeford, NC; Orval Lee Hunt of Beverly, WV; sister Garnet Bowman and husband Jim of Laurel Point, WV, and one sister-in-law, Jennifer Boyers-Hunt of Morgantown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years John Brewer, Sr.; one brother Lonnie Ray Hunt; sister-in-law Edith Hunt and brother-in-law George Walls. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at the Mt. Nebo Church of Christ, Bunner Ridge Rd. Fairmont, WV, from 11 am until time of service at 12 noon with Pastor David Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
