Mary Ann Thompson, 67, of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, at The Madison Center. She was born January 11, 1959, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Paul and Evelyn McComas.

In her younger years, Mary enjoyed riding motorcycles. She loved cooking and sharing meals with others, and she especially enjoyed tanning, and spending time at the beach. Mary worked for many years as a clinical assistant at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, where she was dedicated to helping care for others.

She is survived by her son, Nathan Carter and his wife, Amber; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Haylee Carter; her brother, John McComas; her best friend, Ray Williams, Jr.; and her faithful canine companion, Sadie.
