Marvin Bud Sypolt, 91, of Valley Point WV, went to his eternal home to be with the Lord on August 6th, 2018. Bud was born in the small community of Beech Run, WV, on June 20th, 1927, to the late Gratt and Ida Sypolt.
In Bud's early years, while helping on the family farm, he worked in the mines and drove truck. He found his true calling when he started in the construction industry where his career spanned the next 50 plus years with many homes being built throughout Preston and Monongalia Counties, and the construction of the family Medical Clinic in Bruceton Mills. He was also involved with the reposition of the Mt. Moriah Church project located in Valley Point.
As a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church, in Valley Point, Marvin touched many lives through the power of prayer, as well as during his construction career, where a hand shake was good enough. Everyone came to know Marvin as "Bud".
Bud was preceded in death by his two sisters, Patty Feather and Jean Forman along with one brother Wilmer Sypolt. Bud is survived by his wife Virginia, daughter, Kay Jenkins and husband Bob, a son Mark Sypolt and wife Carmel, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Melvin and wife Peggy, four sisters, Maxine Livengood, Mary Alice Benson, Annabelle Lawson, and husband Bob, Sharon Stiles and husband Dewey.
The Sypolt family would like to thank the staff at Pine Ridge, and the Mon General Hospital for the professional and loving care that was given to Bud during the time he was at their facilities.
Bud will be deeply missed here on this earth, but we are sure his friends and family in Heaven are having a joyous reunion.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018 at the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church from 2 -4 & 6-8pm and again on Friday from 10am until time of service at 11am with Pastors Sonny McNear & Mark Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
