Mark Frederick Riffon

Mark Frederick Riffon, 67, of Morgantown, died on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the JW Ruby Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born November 16, 1954, in Morgantown and was one of 10 children to Stephen and Sarah Riffon. Mark was the owner-operator of Riffon Contracting & Remodeling, LLC., here in Morgantown until illness would require an early retirement. He had many hobbies and interests, including all WVU Mountaineer Sports but nothing could compare to time with his grandchildren, Ellie and Preston. Mark is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debra Meligan Riffon; daughter, Jacquelyn (Matthew) Rosensteel; two beloved grandchildren, Ellie and Preston Rosensteel; son, Mark Riffon, II (Andrew Lundgren); half-brother, Gary Shaw; sisters, Suzanne Kenney, Monica (Warren) Belcher; Cathleen (Patrick) Meighen, Maria (Jim) Tonnessen; sister-in-law, Glenna Riffon; brothers, Stephen (Beverly) Riffon, II, Matthew Riffon, Gregory Riffon & Thomas (Tracy) Riffon. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Sarah, and one brother, Michael Riffon. The family will receive friends at the Pierpont Church of the Nazarene, 52 Harner Run Road, Morgantown on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 5 PM until 8 PM. Visitation will continue Friday at 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Casey Shorr officiating. Cremation will follow.
