Marjorie L. Simpson Marjorie L. Simpson, 86 of Morgantown passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. Marjorie was born March 17, 1927, in Accident ,MD, the daughter of the late Milton and Thelma Savage. Marjorie enjoyed being with her family most of all. She was a loving wife, mother to six children and later, a joyous grandmother and great grandmother. She also worked at the Mountainlair food service department for 24 years before her retirement. Margie's hobbies were baking pies, making quilts, embroidery, crochet and to work in her garden in the summertime. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Darrell (Jack) Simpson; three sons Kevin and wife Linda Simpson of Ridgeley, WV, Bradley and wife Loraine Simpson of New Richmond, Ohio and Brian Todd Simpson of Morgantown; one daughter, Kris O'Connell and her companion Patrick Malone of Morgantown. Margie has 4 grandsons , Brady and wife Alisa Simpson of Ridgeley, WV, Jared and wife Heidi Simpson of Springfield, WV, Joshua O'Connell and Tyler O'Connell of Morgantown; 4 great grandchildren Mackenzie, Logan, Alivia and Bree. She also is survived by two sisters and one brother Carolyn Davis and husband Sherman, Mary Ellen Friend and brother Clyde Savage and wife Naomi of MD. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by two daughters Cheryl and Donna Simpson and one sister Wilda Snyder. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 12 noon until the time of services at 2pm with Rev. Vicki D Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
