Marjorie Jane Murray

Marjorie Jane Murray, 70, of Morgantown, WV, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024. Born on September 7, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Ira Cole and Dorothy Williams.

Jane was a familiar face in the local retail community, having worked at both Go Mart and Sally Beauty Supply, where she made lasting connections with customers and colleagues alike. She was known for her warm smile, sharp wit, and a genuine love for the people around her.

Widowed after the passing of her beloved husband, Sam Murray, Jane also mourned the loss of her brother, William Cole. However, she found comfort and joy in the love of her surviving family—her devoted sister, Janet McKinney, and brother-in-law, Delmon McKinney. Jane was also a proud aunt to Lonnie Trump of Morgantown and Frankie Cole of Georgia.

In her free time, Jane indulged in her favorite hobbies: reading, needlepoint, embroidery, and treasure hunting at community yard sales. She found beauty and solace in the quiet creativity of her crafts and in the simple pleasures of a good book.

Jane’s wishes for cremation will be fulfilled by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. No memorial services are planned, but her family will always cherish the memories they hold close.
