It is with both heavy hearts and joyful memories that we announce the passing of Marjorie Ann Fox-Gibson, 81, of Star City, who departed this life on March 1, 2026, at Evergreen Assisted Living.Marjorie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of many.

Marjorie is survived by her sister Pam (Ben) Jones and her brother, Pat Miller. She also leaves behind her loving children, Denny (Kelley) Fox, Tracey (Andy) Laskody, all of Star City, and Craig Fox of Westover. She cherished her role as "Nana" to her grandchildren: Makenzy (Ty) Fox, Tanner Fox, Rachel (Brady) Winge, Emily Laskody, Alexis (Tim) Moore, and Aleece Fox. Marjorie was also a proud great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy, and she cultivated numerous friendships in her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Emma Miller; her husband, Kester Gibson; and her siblings, David, Gary, Leonard, Alvin 'Jake', Kenneth, and sister Janet Ghuste.

Marjorie was a passionate supporter of her grandchildren's sporting events, never missing a game, and brought her unwavering enthusiasm and spirit to each one.

She loved traveling with her cousins and friends, and remained active throughout her life, often walking as much as, five miles a day through Star City.  Marjorie took pride in her work over the years, which included roles at the County Clerk's office, the Magistrate, the City of Morgantown as a grant writer, and lastly at Mt. State Trailer Rental, where she was known for her meticulous attention to detail.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4 PM - 7 PM and again on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM with Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati officiating. Private interment will follow at the Masontown Cemetery, Preston County.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Marjorie's name be made to WVU Medicine Hospice

Marjorie will be dearly missed, but her love and spirit will forever remain a guiding light for all who knew her.
