Margaret Lemanowicz

Margaret Lemanowicz, 98, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 22, 1928, in Erie, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Peter and Alexandria Paneroff Shumiloff.

Margaret dedicated many years of service as an anesthesia aide at Southwest General Hospital in Ohio. While living there, she was a faithful member of Christ the Savior American Orthodox Church in North Royalton, where she served as president of the Ladies Guild. Her faith and willingness to serve others were important parts of her life.

Margaret found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved listening to all types of music, reading a good book, working puzzles, and baking for those she loved. Above all, nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished and delighted in spoiling at every opportunity.

She leaves behind her children, John Lemanowicz and wife, Nanci, of Las Vegas; Jack Lemanowicz of Kansas City, Missouri; Susan Mapel and husband, Jeffrey, of Morgantown; and Cathy Starkey and husband, Richard, of North Ridgeville, Ohio. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jacob (Gretchen), Max, Ethan (Holly), Daniel (Brittany), Matthew (Breeona), and Adam; and by her treasured great-grandchildren, Margaret, Liam, Hannah, Brinly, Logan, Olivia, and Brooks.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was welcomed into eternal rest by her beloved husband, John Lemanowicz; her daughter-in-law, Gigi Lemanowicz; her grandsons, Zachary and Lukas; and her siblings, Charles Shumiloff, John Shumiloff, Alex Shumiloff, Mike Shumiloff, William "Lefty" Shumiloff, Valentina Shumiloff, Vera Spradlin, George Shumiloff, Jenny Hibbs, Alexandria "Katy" Shumiloff, Susan Shumiloff, and Stella Shumiloff.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
