Margaret Guthrie

Margaret Stockdale Guthrie, 85 of Morgantown passed away Saturday May 22, 2010 at the Sundale Nursing Home. She was born February 12, 1925 in Morgantown daughter of the late Thomas Ray Stockdale and Rosa Guthrie Stockdale. Margaret was a homemaker for many years and enjoyed playing Bingo and poker with her family for the past 44 years. She was Methodist by faith. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Shelia Hilling and husband Don, Sandra Hartl and husband John and Shirley Shaffer; sons, Stanley Guthrie and wife Mary, Sanford Guthrie and wife Margaret and Sydney Guthrie all of Morgantown. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Guthrie and her son Shannon Guthrie. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Tuesday May 25 from 5-7pm. Services will be 11am Wednesday May 26, 2010 at the Fred L. Jenkins Chapel of Prayer with Pastor Kenneth Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Halleck Cemetery.
