Mable Johnson

Mable Johnson, 93 of Morgantown passed away Saturday November 17, 2012 at the Sundale Nursing Home. She was born June 13, 1919 in Alabama daughter to the late Albert Dobbs and Ella Hitson Duckett. She was Baptist by faith and attended the St. Stephen's Baptist Church and the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. She graduated from Monongalia High School. She was a homemaker for many years and enjoyed working the polls during the election. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by children, Barbara Jean Woods of Detroit, MI, Paulette Hudson Jarrett of Morgantown, Robert L. Weatherspoon of Corona, NY, Louise Elaine Weatherspoon Sowell of Morgantown, Stephen James Weatherspoon of Osage, Michael John Weatherspoon of Morgantown and Carolyn Ann Weatherspoon Harris of Pursglove; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Also surviving is one sister Katherine Hobson of Houlka, Miss. In addition to her parents Mable was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Johnson three brothers; two sisters and four great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Beverly Hills Memorial Garden of Tranquility Mausoleum on Wednesday November 21, 2012 from noon until time of services at 2pm with Rev. Wesley Dobbs and Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow.
