Lyle Lee Brown

Lyle Lee Brown, 86 of Morgantown passed peacefully February 6, 2024. He was born August 26,1937, a son of the late Camden and Katherine Brown. A U.S. Air Force veteran, a private pilot and radio control airplane enthusiast, Lyle retired from Mylan Pharmaceuticals as one of the first employees hired when the plant opened. Lyle was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Anna Lee Brown and is survived by his four daughters and their spouses, Mary Kay and Dennis Watson of Morgantown, Sandy and Norman Swann of Warren Ohio, Rebecca and Tom Tamasko of Morgantown, and Sue Ellen and Richard Mergl of Morgantown; seven grandchildren, Amy Barnes, Meg Ryan Barnes and Emily Schon, Andrew and Jennifer Swann, Oliver and Socorro Lee, Ashley Thompson, Theresa Danielle and Henry Moody, and Richard Mergl III; and eleven great grandchildren. Lyle is also survived by his two sisters Karen Smith of Wilmington NC, and Judy Metheny of Romney WV.

The family wishes to thank Hospice and the doctors, nurses and staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

A private memorial service will be held later in the spring.
