Louise M. Vickers

Louise M. Vickers, 99, of Jersey Ave., Morgantown, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the home of her granddaughter Beth Ann Shay-Stidom in Frankford, WV. She was born July 19, 1919 in Westernport, MD, daughter to Walter and Anna Blotneck Shank. Louise was a member Highland Park United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed traveling when she was able and was a homemaker for many years. Louise is survived by her daughter Patricia Strakal of Morgantown, son Joseph Vickers of Morgantown; one sister Betty Potts and husband Jim of Memphis, TN and four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Vickers, Sr. and siblings, Ellwood, "Bud", Mary and Walter, Jr, "June". Family will receive friends at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday October 4, 2018 from 5 to 7pm and Friday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Stephen Prince officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
