Louella I. Harsh, 90, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday July 29, 2015 at the WV Veterans Nursing Facility in Clarksburg, WV. Louella was born October 27, 1924 in Kingwood a daughter of the late Cloyd and Hazel Martin Strawser. She served her country as a medical technician during World War II in the U.S. Army. She was a member of Morgantown VFW Post 548 Women's Auxiliary. Louella retired from WVU Parking Department, and after her retirement she worked as a greeter at Walmart. She was Methodist by faith. She was an avid reader and enjoyed hiking and walking in the outdoors. She was known for her love of animals, humor, and never knowing a stranger. She is survived by a son Michael Harsh and wife Carolyn of Morgantown; daughters Robin Harsh of Morgantown, Cheryl Harsh and companion George Holmes of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren Donielle Maust and husband David of Morgantown, Alicia Harsh and companion Matt Young, Aaron Harsh and wife Joanna all of Milwaukee, WI; half-brothers David Strawser of Montana, Robert Strawser of Florida; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Charles Harsh and a half-brother Ace Strawser. Cremation services are under the direction of Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at WV National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
