Lorraine Betty Tennant

Lorraine Betty Tennant, 83 of Pursglove passed away Thursday May 12, 2011 at Coville's Personal Care Home in Masontown, PA. She was born September 8, 1927 in Berkeley Springs, WV, daughter to the late Rainey and Freda Walls Dawson. Lorraine was a post master for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Morgantown Moose Lodge, Morgantown VFW Post 548 Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed bingo, spending time on the lake and traveling with the post masters around the world. She was Protestant by faith. Lorraine is survived by one son William R. Bill' Tennant and Katheryn Knisell of Morgantown. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband William David Tennant and two sisters Reva Dawson Gary and Ann Dawson Obrad. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Tuesday May 17, 2011 from 12noon until time of services at 2pm. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
