Loretta June Smith

Loretta June Smith, 86, of Morgantown, passed away Friday January 10, 2014 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born June 13, 1927 in National, WV a daughter of the late Joseph and Erma Tichenor Livengood. June worked at Morgan Shirt Factory for many years, and she also worked as a custodian at WVU. She enjoyed playing golf and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her granddaughter Tracey Willis and husband Kenny; grandson Danny Gerard all of Morgantown; three great grandchildren Shane Willis, Brenna Willis, Keira Gerard; two sisters Jean Todesko and Jeanine Rancjik both of Morgantown; a brother Paul Livengood and wife Jo Jo; brother-in-law Bernard Buck' Trickett; adopted granddaughters Cindy Posey of Morgantown, Rita Karolewices, and Elane Minor both of PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred H. Bud' Smith who she married June 16, 1950; daughter and son-in-law Charlene Shawn' and Joseph Gerard; two brothers James Lee Livengood and Junior Fuzzy' Livengood; and a sister Joy Fay Dodie' Trickett. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday January 12, 2014 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm and again on Monday from 10am until the time of funeral services at 11am with Pastor William Page officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
