Lloyd Raymon Binion, Sr., also known as Butch or Benji, a native of Springfield, MA, former resident of Havre De Grace, MD and current resident of Donaldsonville, LA passed away on Wednesday December 20, 2017 with his loved ones by his side.
Lloyd lived in various areas due to his career in the military. He is a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the United States Army and Perry Point, MD. Throughout his life he owned and operated several businesses: Benjie’s Carry-Out, Tydings Park Concessions, Bridge Diner, Chuckwagon Diner and Dianne’s Diner.
He is survived by his mother, Judith Jordan Binion of North Charleston, SC; children, Linda “Susie” Binion Rachinskas (Nathan) and Lloyd R. Binion Jr.; Grandchildren, Eddie and Dylan Rachinskas, Dominic Vasil, Taliyah and Joshua Michel-Baird, Aria Binion, Carrie McCall; great grandbabies, Michael, Mason and Leonardo Myles Lewis; sisters, Linda Wynne and Tami Lawrence; brothers, Thomas Binion (Barbara), Kenny Wynne, Dean Nilsen Joe Kelly and Paul Binion and numerous nieces, nephews, step daughters and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah Dianne Binion; father, Raymon Binion and grandparents, Milfred and Hazel Binion and Mary Jordan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 12pm until 1pm at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. Graveside service to follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Garden with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Westover VFW Post 9916 and WVANG, Camp Dawson, WV.
