Linda Elaine Adams Shultz, 64, of Cassville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 7, 2016, with family by her side. Linda was born February 11, 1952 in Morgantown, daughter of the late Alberta and Gerald Adams.
She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Westover. She graduated from University High School before retiring from the Morgantown Parking Authority with more than 28 years of service.
Linda loved the outdoors, from making projects to going blackberry picking. Linda was well known throughout the community for her sewing skills, offering much of her time and effort doing alterations and making clothing for her family and friends. Linda was also an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.
She was truly one of a kind with her beaming personality and contagious smile.
Linda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Joseph H. Shultz, Sr.; sons, Joseph H. Jr. and wife Carolyn of Grafton, Tracy of Cassville and Gregory and girlfriend Amber Taft of Cassville; daughter Kelli Stuart and husband Roy of Cassville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Shana, Joseph H. III, Devynn, Breanna, Taylor, Jolyn, Alyssa and Danika as well as eight great grandchildren; sister Geraldine ‘Gerri’ Layman, and brother David Adams and wife Robin; sisters-in-law Ruby Kurzinsky and husband Paul, Betty Huggins and Barbara Howard.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Ruth Corn and brothers-in-law, Virgil Layman, Lee Corn, Jim Huggins and Carl Howard.
Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Jeff Huggins officiating. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
