Linda Sue Mcdonald

Linda Sue McDonald, age 64, passed away at Mon Health Medical Center on Thursday, December 2, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Crislip and Anna Piper Crislip.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her second husband, Merel Murphy and her husband Butch McDonald, as well as a grandson, Exivarier Mason; two brothers, Herbert and Eugene Crislip; and two sisters, Mary Mayle and Carol Crislip.

Linda is survived by her two daughters, Anna Murphy (Jason Skiles) and Lori Murphy; her son, Merle Murphy (Kristy Mullenax); step-daughter, Lee Murphy and her two children; step-son, Shane McDonald; four brothers, Frank, Jim, Bill, and Lako Crislip; a sister, Sandra Murray; grandchildren, Merle, Brandon, and Macie Murphy, Daimein and David, Jr. Mason, Angel Murphy, Anna Mae Mullenax, and Walker and Evangeline Murphy; also surviving is her ex son-in-law, David Mason, Sr., who was like a son to her.

The family would also like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Jeff Findling for caring for Linda over the years.

Linda lived life to the fullest. She was always up for having a good time with good people. She was the real life of the party. She also had a kind heart and was referred to as “mother hen” by her family. She not only raised her own children but helped to raise all of her grandchildren too. She spent several years working for Mon Pointe Nursing Home as a clinical assistant, where she gave exceptional care to the residence.

Cremation services have been entrusted to the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has kindly asked that donations be made to the funeral home.
