Linda Carol Hicks

Linda Carol Hicks, 61 of Cassville went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday August 28, 2011 at the Mapleshire Nursing Home. She was born January 1, 1950 in Morgantown daughter of the late Edward Lee and Edna Nicholson Shaffer. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning and never met an animal she didn't like. She attended church faithfully until her illness made it too difficult. Although not in attendance she still read her bible faithfully every day. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Peggy Dalton; sister Shirley Shaffer and brother Ronald Shaffer. Linda leaves behind her husband of 30 years Charles J. Hicks; daughter, Milessa Harvey of Cassville; sons Richard Braham and wife Amy of Morgantown, Danny Robertson of Morgantown; step daughters Brooke Ann Hicks of Mt. Storm, Betty Hicks of Kingwood; stepsons Charles R. Hicks, Ralph Hicks both of Morgantown, Brian Hicks of Keyser and Adam Hicks of Cassville. Also surviving is brother Dennis Shaffer of Granville, sisters Jean Leham and Delores Winemiller both of Missouri and numerous beloved grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Wednesday August 31, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and again on Thursday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Rev. John Miker officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA.
