Lillie Grace Nicholson Jenkins, 93, of the Summer School Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at the Mon Health Medical Center. She was born August 19, 1925, in Morgantown, daughter of Timothy Marshall and Anna McDonald Nicholson.
Miss Lillie worked at Morgan Shirt Factory; WVU Towers and was a homemaker for many years.
Lillie was a member of the Beulah Free Methodist Church and later Nicholson Chapel. Miss Lillie loved the Lord with all her heart and was strong in the faith. She believed in the power of prayer and would pray with anyone at any time. For the past 13 years, Lillie made her home with her sister Mary who cared for her with compassion and dignity.
She is survived by her sons Joseph Jenkins and wife Marlene of Pentress, WV, Ken Jenkins and companion Janine Parker of Courtland, VA and; three sisters Anna ‘Mary’ McMillen, Glenda Corob (Bill), Mildred ‘Winnie’ Ruble (Charlie), all of Morgantown; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Timothy and Anna Nicholson; husband, George T. Jenkins; three sons, Timothy Jenkins, Danny Jenkins, and Robert Keith Jenkins; four brothers and four sisters.
Family will receive friends on Friday, June 28, 2019, at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home from 3-7. She will lie in repose at the Nicholson Chapel Church on Saturday from 11 am until time of services at 1 pm with Rev. Kenny Reed officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
