Lillian Juanita Verbosky

June 14, 1926 — October 2, 2014

Lillian Juanita Verbosky, 88, of Morgantown, passed away on Thursday October 2, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born June 14, 1926 in Dilliner, PA, daughter to the late William and Lona Williamson Cobasky. Lillian was a graduate of University High School. Lillian had many hobbies and interests. Golf was notably a large part of her life. She was a long-time member of the Mountaineer Golf Course where she held the title of club champion many times. Although golf was important to her, nothing could compare to time spent with her family. Lillian hosted family and friends for all occasions, from holidays to super bowl parties, always preparing family favorites, sharing memories and making new ones. Lillian is survived by three sons, Larry Verbosky and wife Judy, John Verbosky and wife Kelly all of Morgantown and Robert Verbosky and wife Bonnie of Lone Pine, PA; grandchildren, Chad Verbosky, Craig Verbosky, Gaven Verbosky and wife Jill, Justin Verbosky, Wendy Lemley and husband Bill, Eric Verbosky and wife Sarah, Michael Verbosky and wife Brooke, Becky Verbosky, Madison Verbosky and Emily Verbosky and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and special cousin, Anna Mae Connors, who tended to Lillian's every need. They would often take road trips through the area seeing the sights and enjoying one another's company. In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Robert Charles Verbosky, Jr.; one son William Bill' Verbosky; brother Junior Cobasky and sister and best friend in the world, Helen Louise Krushansky. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm and again on Monday from noon until time of services at 1pm with Pastor Terry Hagedorn officiating. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
